Personal experiences of mental illness have been
captured and published in Powerful Minds, a
booklet which shares the stories of people who
have experienced psychosis. Together with the
perspectives of parents and partners, the result is
a collection of honest and open accounts written
with the aim of helping other people who may be
going through the same thing.
Carers Action Worcestershire have put together a
series of talks on legal and financial issues related
to caring. These talks offer free, impartial and
expert advice on topics such as benefits advice,
paying for care, wills, trusts, lasting powers of
attorney etc.
Worcestershire Association of Carers has
launched a countywide GP Carer Support Service
providing careres support within each GP
Practice within Worcestershire.
If you are a carer and would like to access this
service please speak to any member of staff at
your GP Surgery and ask to be referred to a GP
Carer Support Adviser.
